PLA(Polylactic Acid) is a polymer plastic made from biological materials such as cornstarch or sugarcane. It is similar to the material used in biodegradable plastic packaging. It melts around 200°C, depending on other materials added to it for color and texture.

Silk PLA filament is enhanced PLA filament, owing their glossy result to various additives. It normally produce impressive prints that are shiny and seemingly a bit translucent, giving them both the feel and look of being covered in silk. With this kind of filament, there’s no need to paint, as the natural appearance is already quite dazzling.

This dual-color filament is multicolor at every point, with a different color on each half of the filament strand, almost like colorful toothpaste. The print result with these dual-color filaments will produce orientation-based color changes based on their half-and-half composition. This means that the position of your model determines what color you see, making dichromatic filaments great for illusory models like puzzles or even display pieces like statues.
