PLA(Polylactic Acid) is a polymer plastic made from biological materials such as cornstarch or sugarcane. It is similar to the material used in biodegradable plastic packaging. It melts around 200°C, depending on other materials added to it for color and texture.

Luminous Glow-in-the-dark PLA filament is like any standard PLA filament but with one key difference: It glows after being charged with light. This effect is achieved by additives such as strontium aluminate, which absorb UV light and re-emit it as visible light. It also tends to be very abrasive, brass nozzle will be too soft and will quickly wear down, be sure to upgrade to a wear resistant nozzle like one of our hardened steel nozzles in order to print this filament effectively.
